Lesson’s Learnt as a beginner in Programmer
Unable to determine what to do
When starting out programming, everyone has a different approach. However, not all approaches are faster to keep you in line with other programmers. However, there are some common techniques that when well used will get you going pretty well.
If I could start again as a beginner, I would be more focused on these techniques
These are some of the lessons I have learnt so far
1. Focus
Choose one programming language and put all your energy on it. Use only that language until you be more conversant with it. Don’t taste each and every programming language without getting any value
Keep Going, Keep Learning, Keep moving and trust the process
2. Engage with other programmers
Sharing out your ideas really help you to understand more. There are several tech communities being held in different locations and online. Participate more with people and the world opens itself for you.
3. Research More
This is a very important aspect to kick you moving. Research on what next to learn, what solutions can you solve and how to solve them with the language you are learning. Check on the documentation of that language, read blogs and vlogs. Make use of the programming language website.
4. Frameworks come after mastering the core language
Don’t aim to use a framework before you become effective with language. Although this can work as you advance you will understand that you missed something important.
5. Practice, Practice, Practice more and more
This can’t go without say. Practice as many times as possible, no matter how many times you fail. You can’t fail forever. The more practice, the more the experience.
As a beginner, it’s your passion to keep you going. As Eric Thomas said “When you want to succeed as bad as you want to breathe, then you’ll be successful.” and eventually you will be a software developer.
